Built for both Verizon and AT&T, these two sites provide over 120kW of solar power for telecom towers in remote areas of the Southwest. Located off the power grid, these towers are now providing cell service for the surrounding area. Previously, the surrounding rolling hills and rocky terrain blocked all carrier signals. Nearby trails are widely used for hunters and off-road vehicles. Outdoor enthusiasts and travelers on the nearby I-17 can now benefit from better cell coverage from this tower, powered by solar, battery and a generator backup.
